Alumni Society  of Government college Malerkotla

            "Man is the most beautiful creature on earth, who is born as a learner from birth” first gets primary education and then higher. He gets primary education from his parents and schools and for higher education he chooses the way of colleges and universities.

The students who have received education from these colleges and universities are the capital of the colleges and universities. If we are to look at the history of the achievements of the college, it is not possible without looking at the alumni. Old student who graduated from college and are working in various positions in government and private departments, whenever they get time from their daily activities, they all days spend in the college and come back to that time. These student reunite in the colleges on some special occasion, relive old memories and share their life learning with the current students. This gathering event is also known as a ‘Alumni Meet'. By sharing their experiences with new college students, they pass the ideas that are relevant for the development of the college and implement them in the colleges. The associations of old students play an important role in the basic development of their college. The basic needs of the college like provision of drinking water in colleges, renovation or beautification of college rooms and college parks, expansion of college libraries and prove to be a new milestone for the needy students. 

Government College Malerkotla, founded in 1926 by His Highness Nawab Ahmed Ali Khan, holds the distinction of being one of the oldest and most esteemed educational institutions in the region. With a rich historical legacy, the college has been a beacon of knowledge, fostering academic excellence and promoting communal harmony in the multi-communal district of Punjab. Today, the college offers a total of six undergraduate courses, including medical and non-medical streams, as well as ten Master's degree programs and two certificate courses. If we look at the alumni of this college, then they shined the college name in various fields of life. Ex-student of the college participate in various activities during the academic session of the college. By participating in such activities, they share their experience they have gained in the form of knowledge. Apart from this, they also continue to provide financial support for their college at different times. Alumni members also contribute from time to time through their experience in activities like rallies and awareness camps conducted by the students of the college. To run all the work in a smooth manner, the college Alumni Society, Govt. College, Malerkotla (ASGCMK)  has been constituted. The Alumni Committee will also participate in general activities for this educational institution at various times along with financial support. The Alumni Society has been working as an important character for the development of Government College Malerkotla. In nutshell the alumni society plays an important role in the achieving success in teaching and walk on the paths for building a better future.
